Dr. April Newsome is a 1999 graduate of Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Newsome grew up in this area and all through vet school dreamed of someday coming back to her home town of Lexington and starting her own veterinary hospital. The hospital is actually named after her father, Noah Newsome Jr., who passed while Dr. Newsome was in veterinary school. She promised him many years before that one day she would have her own clinic and name it Noah's Ark after him, and now, after years of hard work, she has kept her promise. Dr. Newsome shares her home with her 3 dogs and 3 cats she loves dearly.

Dr. Jeanette Gibson is also a 1999 graduate of Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gibson comes from Franklin, Kentucky, where she grew up on a horse and beef cattle farm. Dr. Gibson always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian, at least by the time she could talk anyway. Dr. Gibson and her husband Daniel Barnes share their home with their 6 dogs, and their own personal gang of kitties, 3 horses, 1 parrot, 1 conure and gang of ducks as well as geese. Dr. Gibson moved to this area when presented with the opportunity to start a veterinary hospital with Dr. Newsome. In addition to being classmates in veterinary school, Dr. Gibson and Dr. Newsome worked together at their first job as veterinarians in Louisville, Kentucky. It was there that they learned that they shared the same philosophy regarding the treatment of their patients. They provide the same level of care and compassion that they would expect for their own beloved pets.
